Scioli 'confident' vulture funds' conflict 'will turn out fine'

Governor Daniel Scioli head a rally in Buenos Aires province.

Buenos Aires province Governor Daniel Scioli expressed his confidence about reaching a way out to a 1.3 billion dollar dispute that could plunge Argentina into default again. Scioli called to “communicate confidence to people that this will turn out fine.”

“When there is no agreement there are judicial stages of proceedings. There is an open door for negotiation. I am convinced that this will turn out fine,” the governor said in statements to media this morning.

Scioli explained that over the past decade the Kirchnerite administration prioritized the economic and social recovery of the country following the 2001-2002 historic default that led to skyrocketing unemployment and poverty rates.

“Argentina has been proving in the facts its will to regularize its debt,” he said adding that “we have to explain people that this will turn out ok, these are the last steps we have to make.”
