Argentina takes ex Botnia pulp mill dispute to The Hague

The government today announced it will take the former Botnia pulp mill dispute to the International Court of Justice after Uruguay decided to authorize a production increase without Argentina’s consent.

A communiqué released this afternoon by the Foreign Ministry headed by Héctor Timerman, said a letter was submitted by Timerman to his Uruguayan counterpart which concluded Argentina will re-evaluate the bilateral relations with its neighbouring country.
