Bank union ratifies strike, calls new action for next week

The Banking Association union has ratified today’s strike that will be halting all operations at both public and private banks for one hour (2-3 pm) and announced a new action plan for next week.

Protesting over salaries and income tax and demanding the reinstatement of 36 employers that were dismissed in the province of Tucumán, the union decided to launch a 2-hour walkout for Wednesday 18.

“We demand justice and solutions”, the Banking Association said in a statement released this morning.
