Argentina complete first training session on Brazilian soil

Two Argentine men wearing the jerseys of Argentina and San Lorenzo play with a ball while standing in line at the Arena Internacional in Belo Horizonte to get free tickets to watch an open training session of the Argentinian team on June 11
The Argentina national team today carried out behind closed doors their first training session since arriving in Brazil, as preparations continue for Sunday's World Cup debut against Bosnia & Herzegovina.

The team directed by Alejandro Sabella participated in a light practice which included exercises with the ball in their new training base, Belo Horizonte's 'Cidade do Galo'; the home of local giants Atlético Mineiro.

After arriving last night in the Minas Gerais capital, the principal concern for the squad was players' health.

Defender Ezequiel Garay, suffering from a blow to the right thigh, and Gonzalo Higuaín, with pains in the right ankle, completed their rehabilitation exercises and were able to join training with the rest of the squad.

Lucas Biglia and Maxi Rodríguez are also progressing well from minor knocks and will be available for the Bosnia match, which kicks off at 7pm in Rio de Janeiro's Estadio Maracaná.

Forward Rodrigo Palacio and defender Martín Demichelis, meanwhile, continued their recovery from ankle sprains with team physiotherapists Luis García and Rubén Araguas. Palacio is the only member of the squad in doubt for the opener, and could be saved for the second clash against Iran on June 21.
