Two Argentine hooligans deported
SAO PAULO — Two Argentine hooligans were deported yesterday from Brazil as part of the security plan held by the World Cup organizers, Brazilian officials said.
The first man was arrested at the Sao Paulo International airport. Despite his name not being revealed, it was rumoured that he is a Rosario Central fan while the other hooligan — who also remains anonymous — was caught when he tried to enter the country by car through the border in Uruguayana, Rio Grande do Sul next to Paso de los Libres in Corrientes province.
Brazil Interpol chief Luis Navajas said yesterday to local media that the local police will not allow any of the 2,100 hooligans reported by the Argentine government to enter.
