Argentina appeals ruling which declared Iran deal 'unconstitutional'
The government today appealed a Federal Court ruling which two weeks ago declared the Memorandum of Understanding sealed between Argentina and Iran “unconstitutional.”
The appeal request was submitted by the Justice and Human Rights Ministry to the Penal Cassation Federal Court, the government informed on its website.
“The sentence was arbitrary,” the Justice Ministry stressed in the writ adding “the ruling invaded the acting sphere of the Executive Power and the Congress, limiting the faculties the Constitution explicitly provides to these two powers.”
