'Blue' dollar lower at 11.70 pesos
The "blue" dollar which trades in the informal market was 10 cents lower today at 11.70 pesos amid few transactions in the market due to a bankers' strike.
It climbed five cents yesterday to 11.80 pesos after jumping 25 cents the previous day pushed by the stock exchange and the blue-chip swap rates which today rose 10 cents and 14 cents respectively.
The official rate meanwhile closed steady at 8.09 pesos in banks and exchange offices of the City after ending higher yesterday.
