US dollar rises to 8.09; 'blue' climbs five cents
The US dollar closed half a cent up at 8.09 pesos in banks and exchange offices of the City.
The "blue" dollar which trades in the informal market, meanwhile, climbed five cents to 11.80 pesos after climbing 25 cents yesterday pushed by the stock exchange and the blue-chip swap rates which today rose 10 cents and 14 cents respectively.
Yesterday, grain exporters sold 150 million dollars in the wholesale market making the Central Bank add around 80 million dollars by the end of the day.
