'Blue' plunges 43 cents to 11.37 pesos; official dollar climbs to 8.08 pesos
The black market dollar’s climb of the past business days has been halted as it plunged 43 cents at 11.37 pesos. On Thursday, it ended 10 cents lower at 11.80 pesos, although accumulating an 80 cent rise during the week.
Analysts told reporters Wednesday’s price had been exaggerated and thus, many of them decided to push the greenback’s price down.
Meanwhile, the American currency jumped half a cent and closed at 8.08 pesos in Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices in a week with no whipsaws and the Central Bank watching operations closely.
