Church document on violence is not meant "against the gov't", spokesman says
Episcopate spokesman Jorge Oesterheld stressed that the Episcopal document released last week about “violence” in Argentina is not meant “against the government”.
“I cannot understand how anyone can come to that conclusion,” he said, referring to President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who has questioned the document for “wanting to reignite old battles.”
The spokesman said the report –wich concluyes that Argentina is “sick with violence”-“is addressed to the ruling class in general, because they are the most responsible, but it is not a document against the government”.
