Heavy fog causes road, air traffic delays in BA City
A thick morning fog was sweeping over Buenos Aires City and its surrounding areas, disturbing road and air traffic. The ANSV road safety agency has issued an alert with visibility reaching 50-100 meters in the City downtown.
The ANSV alert covers the Argentine capital, the Ezeiza-Cañuelas highway and the 2, 3, 8, 9, 11, 12, 33 and 205 roads. The agency was recommending drivers to keep low beams and anti-fog lights on and reduce speed.
Meanwhile, at the Ezeiza international airport in the province of Buenos Aires some flights have been diverted to nearby air stations. In the BA City Metropolitan airport no delays have been yet registered.
Similar fog conditions are expected to affect visibility on Wednesday.
