Labour Day Holiday to lure 800,000 to tourist destinations
The long weekend started today, on Labour Day, with intense traffic in Argentine routes. The Ministry of Tourism expects 800,000 tourists to travel across the country during the 4-day holiday.
According to the National Road Safety Agency (ANSV) about 2,377 vehicles per hour traveled through Autovía 2 towards Buenos Aires province coastal cities.
The government estimates that 95% of tourists will choose domestic destinations with an average stay of 3,5 nights and a total expenditure near 750 million pesos (an average 227 pesos per day).
