Francis calls politicians 'to remember human dignity, common good'
On International Labour Day and the catholic feast of Saint Joseph the Worker, Pope Francis used Twitter today to ask politicians to keep in mind human dignity and common good, two factors he’s often linked to labour in his homilies.
“I ask everyone with political responsibility to remember two things: human dignity and the common good,” he wrote.
1 May is a day on which the Church encourages us to celebrate the value of work, and the dignity and rights of workers, issues that have frequently been part of Francis’ sermons.
