'Heavy rain' alert issued for BA City
The Buenos Aires City government was advising locals not to drop litter on the streets and to avoid moving in flood-hit areas facing a “heavy rain” warning issued by the National Meteorological Service (SMN) today.
According to the SMN, the Argentine capitial wil be hit by rains all day although weather conditions are expected to improve by the end of the day, with an average temperature of 15-18 C°.
The administration of Mayor Mauricio Macri has also recommended neighbours to remove pots from windows and balconies and to avoid the manipulation of electrical devices that have been in contact with water. The local government as well required people to not throw cans, bottles or other parts that could obstruct sewers.
