Subte B to close on Sundays, bank holidays until February 2015
The Subte B will change its schedules and close on Sundays and bank holidays due to works to include 86 new train formations, Buenos Aires Subways (SBASE) informed today in a press release.
From May 5 until February 2015 the line will provide service from 6am to 10pm (Mondays through Fridays), from 6am to 1pm on Saturdays, and will close on Sundays and bank holidays.
According to SBASE, the reduced schedule is “absolutely necessary” for the works to be carried out correctly.
The new trains will have capacity for 193 people and will be equipped with air conditioning, heating and an “anticlimbing” system, which prevents a train from “climbing” into another in an accident.
