Head of the pro-government splinter of the CTA Hugo Yasky has supported Entre Ríos governor Sergio Urribarri’s prospective candidacy for the 2015 presidential elections, during a meeting held at the union's headquarters in San Telmo.

“We support our colleague Urribarri, one of the key figures in Argentinean politics,” said Yaski, who affirmed the governor is “the king of politician” they want for the country.

The unionist highlighted Urribarri’s advocating of “a strong State presence, national integration programs and social, popular policies.”

Urribarri thanked Yaskys’ support while recognizing he may not be “the most media friendly or popular of candidates.”

“However, I am the most suitable candidate to carry on with Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s policies”, he added.
