CFK: More production needed to stop price rises

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner asserted today that an increase in production would slow down price rises, as the head of state spoke during an act in which a restructuring of provincial debt was announced.

"If we do not want there to be price increases, more must be lent to producers and they must produce more," CFK fired.

As well as the restructuring, there were further announcements affecting business leaders, workers and wheat producers. Members of the national cabinet were present during the ceremony in Government House, alongside other national and provincial authorities.

The president also unveiled the creation a new line of credits under the FONDEAR program, "more than 10 billion pesos for productive financing of small and large businesses," as described by CFK.

"It is more profitable to lend for consumption than for productive enterprises because the risk is lesser," she explained, adding that "it is important to understand the fundamentals of macroeconomics so that the wool is not pulled over our eyes."

The president continued to launch a bank card for registered domestic workers, as well as a new trust named CEPAGA for wheat producers. "All the wheat producers should have signed up, 30,000. 10,000 did sign up. It seems that they did not have much confidence in us," CFK stated during her broadcast.
