INDEC says Argentine economy grew 1.3% in February

The National Statistics and Census Institute (INDEC) has announced that the Argentine economy grew by 1.3 percent in the month of February, compared to the same period in 2013.

Figures released by the Monthly Economic Activity Estimator of the state statistics agency also showed that economic activity showed no variation in February, in comparison to the first month of 2014.

Growth in February was driven primarily by consumer activity as well as grain harvests and other agricultural sales.

Industrial and construction activity, on the other hand, faced a retraction.
