Río Negro vice governor dies from Cancer

“I’ll keep fighting”, Peralta stated while leaving the clinic where he was hospitalized on March 28.
Vice Governor of Río Negro province, Carlos Gustavo Peralta died in his home this afternoon, after two years of struggle against tonsil cancer, relatives informed.

Peralta, a Peronist activist since young, was appointed as the second man in command of that province in January 2012, following the tragic death of Governor Carlos Soria, who was shot in a confusing situation.

“I’ll keep fighting”, Peralta stated while leaving the clinic where he was hospitalized on March 28, after suffering from a general health distress.

The vice governor was accompanied by his family when he passed away, minutes after 4 pm. Local authorities declared two days of mourning.
