UK: ‘Argentine complaint is absolutely false’

The British government assured today that the missile tests scheduled in Malvinas are “routine exercises,” and expressed that “the Argentine complaint is absolutely false.”

With these comments, the UK government led by Prime Minister David Cameron, answered the formal protest stated earlier by Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman, who rejetected the military exercises at the Islands, programmed for April 25 and 27 of this year.

Foreign Office sources revealed to Noticias Argentinas news agency that “the tests are routine exercises which take place approximately twice per year, since many years ago.”

In that sense, the official added that “the Argentine complaint, saying we are militarizing the South Atlantic is absolutely false”.
