Recalde calls for City to be painted 'blue and white' in PJ vote

Candidate for the Justicialist Party Metropolitan Congress Mariano Recalde has called on peronist politicians to reclaim the city of Buenos Aires, as he placed his vote in today's elections for the party in the nation's capital.

"We do not want to see the City of Buenos Aires painted anymore in yellow, we want it in the same colour as the rest of the country, in blue and white," the Aerolíneas Argentinas president fired, taking aim at the distinctive colour scheme utilised by PRO head and city mayor Mauricio Macri.

Recalde added that the key for today's internal elections was to "seek change in the balance of power so that changes can be made," while also urging the PJ to "put the party in motion."

"We have come to fulfil a goal that the president [Cristina Fernández de Kirchner] has been requesting for a while now, unity and organisation," the La Cámpora militant affirmed.

"This is a unity not simply based in convenience, or in the sharing out of posts, as one sees elsewhere; it is a unity based in political identity, in the same project."
