Malvinas residents mock CFK 'nuclear base' assertion via Twitter

Several Malvinas residents have used Twitter to express an ironic response to President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner speech from yesterday, where she expressed the Islands are currently used as a Nato military base in the Atlantic South:

The account, managed by Islanders but independent of the Malvinas official administration, is widely followed and the message lifted a polemic debate, as users retweeted the message 170 times, and almost 70 marked it as favourite.

Yesterday, Fernández de Kirchner led the main act from Government House commemorating the 32nd anniversary of the Malvinas War, where 649 Argentine and 255 British soldiers lost their lives in the 74-day conflict.
