BA Governor Scioli says 'missed school days should be made up for'

Scioli considered “important” the fact that students will be able to return to classes on Monday and that the days that were lost during the strike should be “recovered.” (TÉLAM)

Governor Daniel Scioli said the wage conflict that affected the Buenos Aires province for 17 days has been settled through “strength and commitment.”

In statements to media he granted only a few minutes after the press conference held by unionized teachers to announce the settlement of the conflict, Scioli considered “important” the fact that students will be able to return to classes on Monday and that the days that were lost during the strike should be “recovered.”

Secretary General of the Suteba education union Roberto Baradel had indeed expressed a similar position, saying earlier that teachers were willing to work on a joint strategy with education and provincial authorities to make up the 17 days students were barred from attending classes.
