Buenos Aires province ombudsman urges teachers to show 'good judgement' and end strike

Buenos Aires province ombudsman Carlos Bonicatto today urged teachers to show “good judgement and responsibility" and to begin the school year tomorrow, complying with what a “reasonable” judicial order imposed. Otherwise, he went on, “they would fail to acknowledge we live under the rule of law.”

"We cannot give the institutional example of not complying with judicial orders,” he said in a radio interview adding “we are not judging the government or the teachers’ attitude but protecting the children’s right to go to school.”
