Two Australian tourists robbed in Mendoza, one injured in stone attack

Two Australian tourists were said to have been robbed today’s early morning in the province of Mendoza. Thieves allegedly threw stones at them, injuring one of the visitors who were camping in the provincial locality of Las Heras.

Media and police informed victims are Jorge Criston and Rowand Taylor from Australia.

According to the official information, Criston and Taylor were attacked by four armed thieves who stole them 4,000 pesos and u$s 400. Criston was injured in the head when the attackers threw stones at them and had to be transferred to the nearby Hospital Central.
