Independiente ties 3-3 with Banfield, ends 3-match losing streak

Independiente tied with Banfield and ended a 3-match losing streak.

Independiente tied today with Second Division leader Banfield 3-3 in an exciting match for the 28th round of the Nacional B league.

“Los rojos” opened the score at 26 minutes of the first half with a goal by midfielder Hernán Fredes, and increased the difference with a goal by Sebastián Penco 5 minutes later.

In the second half, Banfield, who still leads the league table with 55 points, leveled the match and evened the score, first with a goal by former Boca Ricardo Noir at 10 minutes and then with a goal by Santiago Salcedo at 17 minutes.

Then, Independiente’s goalkeeper Diego Rodríguez scored a penalty kick at 20 minutes, but Salcedo scored again during extra time to save the game for “el taladro”.
