Colón ties 0-0 with San Lorenzo, tops Final

With the tie, Colón keeps the top position of the Torneo Final.

Colón de Santa Fe tied today with San Lorenzo in Flores in a match with no goals for the 8th round of the Torneo Final. This way, Colón managed to keep the top position in the Final, while San Lorenzo lost the chance to surpass “los Quemeros” and remains second in the league table.

In a very modest game, San Lorenzo dominated ball possession during the first half and had a few opportunities to open the score. Colón leveled the match in the second half but goalkeeper Sebastián Torrico’s good performance stopped the Santa Fe squad from scoring.

With the tie, Colón keeps the top position of the Torneo Final with 15 points after 8 matches, while San Lorenzo remains second with 14 points.

San Lorenzo, Pope Francis’ favorite team, played with a special football shirt commemorating the Pontiff’s first year in the Vatican.
