February tax revenue rises 33.3% to 81.1 billion pesos
Argentina's tax revenue reached 81.1 billion pesos, 33.3 percent higher than the same period in 2013, according to data released today by AFIP tax agency.
In a news briefing, the AFIP chief Ricardo Echegaray informed tax collection coming from the VAT Aggregated Value Tax was of 24.6 billion pesos, which represents a 35.5 percent more if compared annually.
In addition, the AFIP report stated the Income Tax revenue reached 18 billion pesos increasing 41.2 percent while collection from employers' contributions rose 28,3% to 12.3 billion pesos.
In the first two months of 2014, tax collection totaled 171.4 billion pesos, 35.5 percent higher than last year.
