Teachers unions reject BA City Gov’t offer, analyze two-day strike
Head of UTE Eduardo López rejected today the 31 percent salary rise offered by the Buenos Aires City Government and affirmed his sector is analyzing force measures.
“We reject the second part of the raise to be paid as late as August”, López told the press.
Buenos Aires City Government had offered today a 31 percent rise to teachers unions to be paid in two parts, the first one in March and the second one in August.
“We intend to go on strike on March 5 and 6 to claim for a dignified salary and denounce other important issues such as schooling vacancy shortages and the problems caused by the new online register system”, López added.
