Gov't marks birthday anniversary of late leader Néstor Kirchner

This file photo shows late ex president of Argentina Néstor Kirchner who died suddenly in 2010.

As he readied to address reporters at the government house this morning, head of ministers Capitanich paid tribute to late ex president Néstor Kirchner on his birth anniversary. The husband of head of state Cristina Fernández was 60 years old when he died of a heart failure in the southern city of El Calafate in the province of Santa Cruz on October 2010.

“I would like to pay a warm tribute to the Argentine president who raised the flag of social inclusion, social justice, development, equality and the defense of patriotic values,” Jorge Capitanich said and pointed out that February 25 marks as well the birth anniversary of South American liberator General José de San Martín and the first electoral triumph of the Peronist party in 1946.
