Italian Court confirms Berlusconi’s divorce
The tribunal of Monza has officially confirmed the divorce between former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and his second wife, Miriam Raffaella Bartoloni (known as Verónica Lario), local media informed.
However, sources affirmed that the economic dispute continues, as no agreement has been reached yet.
In an earlier ruling, the same court established to cut by half, the pension that Berlusconi was ordered to pay Lario, descending from the original figure of three millions euro to 1,4 million, per month.
The judicial battle started in 2009, when Lario asked for a divorce, followed the scandal involved a series of compromising pictures, revealing an 18-year-old Noemi Letizia next to Berlusconi, who she used to call by the nickname “Papi”.
Their marriage stood for 19 years, and the couple had three children: Barbara, Eleonora and Luigi.
