David Ferrer beats Fognini 6-4, 6-3 to win ATP Buenos Aires

Spanish David Ferrer beat today Italian Fabio Fognini 6-4, 6-3 and won the ATP Buenos Aires for the third time in a row.

Ferrer, seeded N°1 in the tournament and ranked 5 in the ATP charts, entered the draft after fellow countryman Rafael Nadal abandoned because of an injury.

“I was very lucky to be able to play here. I’m very happy. We will see each other again next year”, said Ferrer to the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis audience when receiving the trophy.
