Central Bank reserves rise US$24 million

Reserves rise US$24 million. The Central Bank’s International reserves rose US$24 million yesterday and closed at US$27.798 billion, accumulating a US$60 million increase so far this week. The Central Bank bought US$80 million dollars yesterday in the market. The official dollar dropped two cents and closed at US$7.80 pesos, while the illegal dollar dropped 15 cents and closed at 11.95 pesos. The Merval benchmark stock index rose 0.9 percent and closed at 5,937 points.
