US dollar ends down at 7.80 pesos; 'blue' lower

The US currency ended two cents lower at Buenos Aires City banks and exchange offices at 7.80 pesos. The Central Bank yesterday purchased US$130 million, a move that however has no impacts on Argentina’s international reserves which have shown a US$19-million upward.

Meanwhile, the so called blue dollar that trades in the informal market was 10 cents lower at 12 pesos after it climbed yesterday 45 cents with operations going down sharply since the government announced it was easing the purchase of greenbacks on January 24.
