Capitanich meets with teachers unions, offers one salary increment for whole year
Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich, Economy Minister Axel Kicillof and Education Minister Alberto Sileoni met today with national teachers unions and offered one salary increment for the whole year, but didn’t talk about percentages.
Teacher unions have been asking for two salary negotiations, one in February and the other one in July. “This was a very important meeting. They want the agreement to have annual validation. We will analyze the offer”, head of the Union of Argentine Teachers Sergio Romero said to the press.
The meeting officially started this year’s collective bargaining negotiations. The Government officials met together with Romero, SADOP representatives (private school teachers), AMET and CEA (Argentine Educators Confederation) for one hour and a half.
