Heavy rainfall hits Buenos Aires: one dead and more than 2000 evacuated

Heavy rainfall was hitting the city and several areas of Buenos Aires province triggering new flooding fears as streets and avenues were again suffering the problem of water accumulation.

Subway services registered several inconvenients and around 130 traffic lights stop working in the city prompting chaos.

One person died and more than 1000 people had to be evacuated from their homes in several cities of the Buenos Aires province. The cities of San Nicolás, San Pedro, Arrecifes, Ramallo, La Plata and Berisso are the most affected areas.

In the province in Authorities recommended drivers to be more careful than usual and suggested citizens to avoid touching electric cables or lamp posts.

Emergency crews were on alert visiting different areas to assist people.
