US dollar plunges 10 cents to 7.915 pesos
The official dollar rate opened unchanged today but later dropped 10 cents, closing at 7.915 pesos in banks and exchange offices in Buenos Aires City, after remaining roughly unchanged last week when the government relaxed foreign exchange controls.
The US currency rose 23 percent or 1.5 pesos in January.
Meanwhile, in the black market, the dollar remained unchanged today at 12.55 pesos.
The National reserves maintained the downwards trend, loosing 57 million dollars today compared with yesterday’s closing, reaching a total amount of 27.8 billion dollars.
