Lula hints at a comeback in 2018
Former Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (2003-2010) is considering running in the 2018 presidential elections.
Lula has toyed with a return to the presidency for some time and according to an article in El Cronista Comercial he said to a close friend and political ally last year: “If you break my balls a lot I will come back in 2018.”
The friend, who refused to reveal his identity, said that Lula is working on Rousseff’s re-election campaign even though she has still not made her intentions clear.
“Lula wants to continue doing good things for the Brazilian people,” the source said.
