CFK meets Japan's Prince Akishino and wife

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner held a protocol meeting with Akishino, Prince of Japan and his wife Kiko, at the Government House, City of Buenos Aires.

The head of state received the guests at the Evita Salon, joined by Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman, Japan’s ambassador to Argentina, Masashi Mizukami and Prince’s Akishino special counsellor, Toshihazu Itakura.

In this opportunity, the Imperial family arrived to the country in order to commemorate the 50 anniversary since the signing the bilateral immigration agreement between the two parts.

The members of the Imperial family of Japan visited earlier General José de San Martín’s monument in Retiro, and tomorrow, they will continue with their official agenda which includes a second series of meetings with representatives of the Japanese community in Argentina, and protocol reunions with government officials as well.
