Kicillof warns ‘Argentina will not accept conditions’
Economy Minister Axel Kicillof returned from the meeting with the Paris Club executives, where he offered “the general guidelines” of Argentina’s proposal. He defined the encounter as “positive,” and reaffirmed that the country “won’t accept any conditions.”
During the press conference held at the Economy Ministry, Kicillof told that he met with President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and briefed her with the results of the encounter.
In that sense, he assured that the head of state was satisfied with the achievements, however he denied releasing further details arguing it may “affect the negotiation process.”
Kicillof affirmed that the Federal Government “will fulfil its commitments,” but he added that Argentina’s proposal “won’t hurt the economic model,” and warned that “we won’t accept any conditions.”
The official emphasized that yesterday’s meeting “was the first step”, and now, the Fernández de Kirchner administration will have to wait for the Paris Club response.
