'Blue' dollar plummets 30 cents, official climbs to 6.84 pesos

The US dollar today climbed more than three cents today, reaching 6.84 pesos (selling price) - while the parallel 'blue' currency fell a giant 30 cents from Friday evening.

The currency had experienced a sharp rise in the previous week's trading, climbing 10.5 cents. The accentuation of the parallel, 'blue' dollar was even more pronounced.

The unofficial greenback went from a selling price of 10.77 pesos at the start of the week to close at 11.95 on Friday afternoon. Today, however, prices of 11.65 pesos were being recorded, a fall of 30 cents over the weekend.
