Lightning hits Mar del Plata
Seven people were injured yesterday when three lightning bolts hit two cities on the Atlantic Coast of Buenos Aires province, Mar del Plata and Miramar. This phenomenon was repeated ten days after the fatal lightning bolt than ended with four people’s lives, and injured another 22, in the Buenos Aires province coastal town of Villa Gesell
Yesterday, one bolt hit Parque Mar beach in Miramar. For precaution, the beach was evacuated. There were no victims. The other two bolts struck in Mar del Plata, where seven people were injured, none seriously. Mar del Plata Mayor Gustavo Pulqui confirmed that the two bolts struck at around 6pm in Waikiki and Alfar beaches.
