De la Sota retires 23 more policemen in Cordoba

Córdoba Governor José de la Sota retired on Friday 23 more policemen. Together with the five layed off on Thurdsay, the policemen forced to retire due to December riots count 28.

“This people are no longer part of the Cordoba police force”, an official press release stated today.

Córdoba experienced several hours of high tensions over the last two days as some officers and their wives — who were staging demonstrations to demand new wage hikes — allegedly tried to reignite the protests that rattled the province last month.
