Policemen detained in Córdoba after leading December strike

A local tribunal from Cordoba’s province ordered the detention of 16 policemen after the salary dispute that took place in December, followed by looting and riots in that region.

The policemen were indicted on charges of “disobedience to authority” and “incitement to commit a crime”, according to a press released revealed by the local attorney Raúl Garzón.

In that sense, the defender concluded the uniformed personnel has not only disobeyed the instructions of their superiors, but in addition, they encouraged their colleges to join the strike.

“Thanks to the GPS systems installed in their patrol vehicles, we have identified the responsible”, stated the DA.

The Police strikes that sowed chaos across many of Argentina’s cities in December left eight people death and hundreds of injured.
