Argentina loses to Australia 6-1, faces New Zealand in quarterfinals
NEW DELHI — In the quarterfinals of the men’s Hockey World League Final to be played tomorrow, group leaders England and Australia will face Belgium and India respectively. The surprise package Argentina will face New Zealand, while Germany and the Netherlands take up where they left off at the 2012 Olympics.
“We are super satisfied with the group stage, because we are playing against the best teams in the world,” said Argentine coach Carlos Retegui after yesterday’s 6-1 loss to Australia in the last round robin match. Argentina beat the Netherlands 5-2 and Belgium 3-2 in the other preliminary round matches.
