Four years after his death, famous singer Roberto Sánchez, popularly known as “Sandro” was honoured today by his wife Olga Garaventa and a group of fans in the Glorian Memorial cemetery, province of Buenos Aires.

Sandro died at 64 in Mendoza, 45 days after receiving a double heart and lung transplant.

On January 10, he will be remembered with an exhibition in Mar del Plata called “Yo, Sandro”, which will include posters from his films, photos, clothes and some of his cars.

Sánchez was born in 1945 at Parque Patricios, city of Buenos Aires and raised in Valentín Alsina. He made a successful career as a singer actor and scriptwriter appearing in 11 films.

During the last years of the 90’s, medical studies detected a pulmonary emphysema which eventually caused his death.
