Timerman: 'We can tell why Israel opposes Arg-Iran memorandum'
Argentine foreign minister, Héctor Timerman criticized the statements of Israel's former ambassador Itzhak Avirán, arguing that they “show that information was hidden from the Argentine Justice”.
Avirán assured yesterday that Israel had already killed the terrorists responsible for the bombing of the Israeli embassy in 1992 and the AMIA attack in 1994.
“If they knew who were responsible, they should have informed the Argentine Justice, as International treaties on the matter state”, Timerman told Télam.
In that sense, he said that people can now “tell why Israel opposes the memorandum between Argentina and Iran”.
“We don´t want vengeance, we want Justice”, Timerman added, and urged Israel to share their information on the case.
