After revealing that December’s revenue hit a new all-time record, the head of the AFIP tax bureau Ricardo Echegaray turned the press conference into a defense from Grupo Clarín allegations, and blamed its CEO Hector Magnetto of “orchestrating a persecution against me and my family.”

During the second part of the conference, Echegaray used the opportunity to defend himself from the accusations which involved him in a confuse incident, where a cameraman resulted injured at the Rio de Janeiro international airport in Brazil.

In that sense, he stated that “I reject any act of violence,” and expressed his “solidarity with the injured person.”

According to Echegaray, he traveled with his family “as part of personal trip and not as a public official.”

National Treasure Secretary, Juan Carlos Pezoa told that last year’s revenue was 26,3 percent higher than the one registered in the same period of 2012.

“It is the result of the economic measures performed by the Federal Government," conluded Pezoa.
