Edenor low tension network affected - spokesman

Edenor affirmed that its low tension network was affected due the high demand of electricity in Buenos Aires.

According to Alberto Lippi, the company’s spokesman “in a normal situation, one can estimate when the service will be renewed,” however, he assured that this is an exceptional occasion and informed that “1000 teams are working in the affected areas.”

“Our entire low tension network was affected and it is very difficult to know what exactly the failure was because Buenos Aires (City) has all its cables underground,” revealed Lippi.

In addition, he rejected the versions which affirmed that people have been left without power for more than 10 days. “In our case, the energy blackouts lasted up to 24 hours, affecting 300 clients,” concluded Lippi.
