Investigators try to determine cause of death for Pesquera

Business magnate Alfredo Pesquera, who was wanted by police in connection with the murder of financier Miguel Graffigna, was last night found dead from a gunshot to the head in his car, in the City neighbourhood of Saavedra.

Investigators today tried to determine whether the empresario had committed suicide in his vehicle, parked outside the house of his ex-wife, or if he was murdered. Officials planned to look at recordings from security cameras in the area, to see if any images exist of Pesquera's death.

The body of Pesquera, who 12 years ago also went on trial for the accident which took the life of cuarteto superstar Rodrigo Bueno before being found innocent, was found in the back seat of his BMW X6 vehicle with a shot in the head, and a weapon by his side.

The car had been parked in the corner of Conde and Ramallo streets, according to police sources. Just one day previously, prosecutor María Paula Assaro had released an international arrest warrant as part of the investigation into the murder of Graffigna, which occurred last June.
